The World Expo is a competitive arena of innovation, where each nation strives to present a vision of the future. The Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020 was a standout participant, themed around “Smart Korea, Moving the World to You.” To bring this vision to life, the pavilion required a visual centerpiece that could deliver hyper-realistic content with unparalleled clarity. ENO Digital Signage Manufacturer was trusted to engineer, manufacture, and install a massive, high-resolution LED system that would become the heartbeat of the pavilion’s interior.
For the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020, the aesthetic was deeply rooted in the concept of connectivity and digital transformation. They needed a display that was not just large, but possessed a pixel density capable of showing intricate digital art and cultural narratives without a single visible flaw.
The solution provided by ENO was a monumental P1.5 Indoor LED Video Wall, measuring an expansive 8.32 meters in width by 1.92 meters in height. In the context of the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020, where every detail was scrutinized by tech experts from around the world, the choice of a 1.5mm pixel pitch was essential.
A P1.5 resolution falls into the category of “Fine Pitch” LED, meaning the diodes are placed so closely together that the human eye cannot distinguish individual pixels even at very close range. This was critical for the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020, as the pavilion’s design encouraged visitors to walk right up to the displays. With a total resolution of over 5,500 pixels in width, this screen provided a cinematic experience that matched the high-quality 8K content produced by the Korean creative teams. As the manufacturer, we ensured that the color gamut was wide enough to represent the vibrant colors of traditional Korean dress and the neon glows of a futuristic Seoul with perfect accuracy.

An 8-meter-wide screen requires more than just high-quality panels; it requires an invisible engineering feat behind it. For the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020, ENO developed a custom-engineered mounting structure that ensured the wall was perfectly flat across its entire 832cm span. Even a fraction of a millimeter of misalignment would be visible on a P1.5 screen, but our precision-manufactured cabinets allowed for a 100% seamless finish.
The immersive nature of the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020 meant that the screen was often the primary light source for the room. We utilized advanced brightness-sensing technology that allowed the screen to adjust its intensity in real-time, ensuring that it was always comfortable for the visitors’ eyes while maintaining the deep blacks and high contrast necessary for high-end digital art. This balance of power and subtlety is a hallmark of ENO’s manufacturing philosophy.
The EXPO 2020 site was an environment of extreme activity. For six months, the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020 operated for more than 12 hours a day, welcoming millions of visitors. Reliability was the most important KPI. Our P1.5 system was built with:
Redundant Connectivity: To ensure the show never stopped, we implemented dual signal paths. If one cable encountered an issue, the backup took over instantly with zero flicker.
Superior Heat Management: Given the high density of LEDs in a 1.5mm pitch, heat can be a challenge. Our cabinets at the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020 featured specialized fan-less cooling that kept the hardware silent and cool, preserving the serene atmosphere of the pavilion.
Visual Synchronization: To handle the massive resolution, we integrated professional-grade video processors that kept all 8.32 meters of content perfectly synced, preventing any lag during high-motion sequences.
Being a UAE-based manufacturer, ENO provided the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020 with the unique advantage of immediate on-site support. While other pavilions had to wait for international technicians, our team was always available to ensure the screen performed at its peak every single day of the Expo.
The P1.5 LED Video Wall for the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020 remains one of our proudest achievements. it showed that ENO can deliver at the level of the world’s most demanding tech nations. The project successfully bridged the gap between physical architecture and digital imagination, providing a window into the future of Korea for a global audience.
At ENO Digital Signage, we continue to apply the lessons learned at the Project Korean Pavillion EXPO 2020—precision, reliability, and artistic fidelity—to every project we manufacture. Whether it is a world expo or a high-end corporate office, our mission is to provide the canvas upon which the world’s greatest stories are told.
